Planning For The Future

Preparation for Wills and making plans for future care and support are extremely important matters for any client. Devaney & Partners have the skill and expertise in order to advise clients of the matters that they need to consider when preparing a Will in order to ensure that their wishes are properly carried out and they have avoided any future dispute or any future legal or tax problems that may arise for their family and beneficiaries.

We consider it to be extremely important to spend time with the client at this stage in taking instructions for the preparation of the Will. During the course of these meetings issues can come up which need to be discussed and clarified and provided for as necessary. Very often clients will realise that there are issues they never gave thought to but now have planned for through the advice and the experience offered.

Planning for the future covers other areas such as the creation of General Powers of Attorney or Enduring Powers of Attorney, both of which are legal documents in which a client gives certain powers to another person in order that their personal affairs and personal welfare can be properly looked after in the future. It is very important that a client has the opportunity to discuss all these areas with us so that steps can be taken to ensure that they have made decisions at this stage as to how their affairs and health and well-being will be looked after in the future, in the event circumstances arise that the client is not able to do this themselves.
